Desert Vision: Jerry Garcia at the Step Pyramid of Djoser with Owsley Stanley, and Albert Hofmann - Sand T-Shirt

On September 15th and 16th of 1978, Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead recorded a live album at the Giza pyramid complex.

Here Jerry Garcia is pictured in front of the Step Pyramid of Djoser located in Saqqara, Egypt. It is the oldest known pyramid in Egypt, designed by the architect Imhotep for the pharaoh Djoser, 2670 - 2650 BC during the 3rd dynasty. Its distinctive stepped design sets it apart from the smooth-sided pyramids of Giza where the concerts were held. Above Jerry appears Albert Hofmann and Owsley Stanley drifting through the sky in a spectral blessing. Behind him is Albert Hofmann in a bunny suit (the only image in color) borrowed from blotter art that honored his 100th birthday. Desert Vision is printed on a sand colored high quality heavyweight cotton T-Shirt.
